The How Science Works project integrates activities and TV into exciting teaching packages. The focus is on skills and Big Ideas, in way that will liven up and KS3 Science course.
Each package consists of
- a complete learning sequence created by the upd8 team, based around the work of a scientist
- a 15 minute TV programme, to set the context, and show the science in action
- additional video explanations by the scientist
There's also a special TV programme showing how to use the 'Asthma on the Run' sequence.

The programmes were funded by EPSRC and Teachers TV and produced by the University of Salford and the Centre for Science Education.
